My Feature Articles,  Romantic Suspense

Lights Out by Natalie Walters

Lights Out is the first book in the SNAP Agency Series. Here is my review:

MY REVIEW

Lights Out is the first book in the series and we get to know Brynn Taylor and Jack Hudson. Both with history. For readers who like to actually breathe between chapters, this romantic suspense is engaging while keeping your heart rate at a steady pace.  Dealing with National security and presidential safety all the puzzle pieces slowly fall into place to give an engaging story while we get to know this cast of characters. I really hope we get to read Kekoa’s story next. If you read this book, you’ll see why. For some reason, I had a certain TV star’s image in my mind every time I pictured him, and it’s not hard to guess whom. Perfect inspiration. But I digress.

I look forward to the next book in the series and following these characters as they work through the mysteries, crimes, and security issues they’ll face. Loved the humor and banter between them and I’m sure I’ll just fall more in love with all of them as we go.

Natalie Walters lays a firm foundation for this series in book 1.

ABOUT THE BOOK

CIA analyst Brynn Taylor developed a new program to combat terrorism, and she invited members of foreign intelligence agencies to America to foster cooperation between countries. Now one of them, Egyptian spy Remon Riad, is missing.

Jack Hudson has been working for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) for almost nine years and takes the lead in hunting down the missing spy. But he isn’t at all pleased to find out Brynn is involved. It’s hard to trust a woman who’s already betrayed you.

Every lead they follow draws them dangerously deeper into an international plot. Kidnapping, murder, explosions, poisoning–the terrorists will do anything to accomplish their goal of causing a digital blackout that will blind a strategic US military communications center and throw the world into chaos.

Can Brynn surrender control to a man who doesn’t trust her? And can Jack ever get over what she did to him? The fate of the world–and their hearts–hangs in the balance.
