Book Review

A Season To Love by Nicole Deese

This book caught my attention with it’s cover! I loved it! And then, a friend recommended it and so I had no choice but to buy it and read it and I am so glad I did. My only regret is that I did not get the print edition, instead of the kindle version. Why? Because this series is a keeper!

This romance is full of heart and swoon-worthy romance, but I will say, the main character, Willa, crawled right into my heart. This book follows on from A Cliché Christmas and as soon as I finished A Season to Love, I hunted down the first book and read it cover to cover too! Folks, these books are like taking a mini vacation. I love Nicole Deese’s voice and style and I fell in love with her characters and the town of Lenox.

Willa Hart has made a promise to her daughter. She has promised that she will be brave and begin living her life. After being widowed before her seven-year-old daughter, Savannah, was born. Savannah has been fighting cancer and is now over the worst, but she asked this one thing from her mother. The promise has been made, but will Willa be able to let go of her fears and when Patrick arrives in town to fill in for his father as the town’s doctor, things get….complicated. Will world-traveler, and handsome doctor, Patrick stick around long enough to help Willa rediscover a sense of adventure? Will Patrick find a place of rest for his restless soul? Watching the sparks fly between these two was pure entertainment and Nicole Deese keeps us guessing all the way to the end. This was an inspirational and hopeful read, although at times I had to reach for the Kleenex.
