What I love about Cathy’s writing is that she unpacks the storyline in such a way that the book is like a scavenger hunt, where you get little clues along the way, but not too much information—just enough. There are moments when you laugh out loud, and other times you shed a tear and reach of the Kleenex. This book kept me engaged and rooting for Lynette all the way through. I hope you love it as much as I did.

In The Things We Knew, we get to know these characters and their families and their struggles. Although life is messy sometimes, there is always hope and forgiveness and I love that underlying theme in this book.
