Written by Melba Pattillo Beals and Gerald Jampolsky, this book had quite an impact on me and my perception of just what it was like to be a person of color in America in the 1940's and 1950's, particularly in Little Rock, Arkansas and in California, and on leading up to today. I Will Not Fear is an inspiring book for anyone dealing with fear and wanting to learn some golden nuggets about overcoming it and pressing on in the face of it.
