Hello I am Melony Teague

I’m a freelance writer and author who believes everyone has a story to tell and each story is unique and sometimes wilder than fiction. I love to uncover good news in society and write human interest and community pieces. As co-author of As the Ink Flows, I love to inspire and motivate others through written words. I review books and interview authors and also teach seniors in my local community to write their own personal story.

Now I dabble in writing Contemporary Romance with a dash of humor. Okay, maybe a generous scoop of humor. Why? Because life is hard and I feel we have enough hardship in our real lives to deal with on a day to day basis, that to escape into a book, and laugh out loud while you are about it, is a gift we can all appreciate. A Promise to Keep is my debut in fiction. Available in Jan, 2020.

Around here reading is important, with the addition of coffee and cats. I have two cats at home. I am their slave. I admit it.

The teenagers, however, are my greatest life’s work. I am proud of them and their love for reading and cats.

The truth is, without my husband and kids support on this journey as an author, I’d be wondering the wilderness of “one day I’ll write a book.”

Thankfully, they spur me on, challenge me and make me the best I can be.

What more could I want?
