Lights Out by Natalie Walters
Lights Out is the first book in the SNAP Agency Series. Here is my review: MY REVIEW Lights Out is the first book in the series and we get to know Brynn Taylor and Jack Hudson. Both with history. For readers who like to actually breathe between chapters, this romantic suspense is engaging while keeping your heart rate at a steady pace. Dealing with National security and presidential safety all the puzzle pieces slowly fall into place to give an engaging story while we get to know this cast of characters. I really hope we get to read Kekoa’s story next. If you read this book, you’ll see why.…

The Veteran’s Vow by Jill Lynn
It is no secret that Jill Lynn is one of my “go-to” authors. I don’t even read the blurb, I just know I’m gonna love it. So here is my review of her latest. MY REVIEW The Veteran’s Vow was a refreshing read for me because I got to see a glimpse of what service dogs really do. Margo almost stole the show….in a good way, almost. I mean Behr only just bested him in stealing the spotlight, but it was close in my book. Ellery and Behr’s story was compelling and I pretty much could not put the book down until I knew what was going to happen…

Life Flight by Lynette Eason
Oh my goodness, get ready for a book gush! MY REVIEW So you know you can sometimes read “praise for” the book on the cover, right? Well, those endorsements promised that Life Flight could not be put down from page one. They were not wrong. Phwew! In true Lynette Eason style, Life Flight starts off in the action. The reader is basically at the edge of their seat up to the last page. If you like that fast paced romantic suspense then this one is for you. Penny Carlton’s job is stressful, but add on a serial killer on the loose and things pick up a notch. It just builds…

To Disguise the Truth by Jen Turano
MY REVIEW There is nothing better for curing a bad day than opening the pages of a Jen Turano book. This one did not disappoint. I think I should start calling her books my therapy reads. To Disguise a Truth is the last of the Bleeker Street Series and brought the series to a satisfying conclusion after much shenanigans and skullduggery. Eunice’s story finally comes to light and we find out why she had been hiding behind her widow’s weeds and weeping veils. This cast of quirky characters offers an entertaining read and a break from reality we all need these days. This book was provided by the publisher and…

Every Word Unsaid by Kimberly Duffy
MY REVIEW I have been a fan of Kimberly Duffy’s books since her debut came out and I love that she transports her readers through time and space to India. This historical delves into some sensitive issues that were present in the day, including the bubonic plague. Augusta’s story is riveting especially with the introduction of her childhood friends, especially Gabriel. And let’s just say that Gussie’s uncle is a favorite too. This historical by Duffy has it all, adventure, romance, conflict and resolution. And on top of that, her vivid depiction of the scenes bring India to life. Highly recommended. Book has been provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group and…

Tacos for Two by Betsy St. Amant
I cannot believe it has taken me this long to read a St. Amant book, but here I am. I’ve heard good things. MY REVIEW Don’t get me wrong, I love a good classic ROM COM. But I love an updated one with a nod to the classics even better! Texting, yes! Smart and zinging texting, yes please! Betsy St. Amant Haddox provided a solid bit of entertainment that successfully had me rooting for Rory and Jude. Mexican food and food trucks, and then add a contest and you have a winning recipe. Spiced with a dash or two of romance mixed in with situation comedy and you have the…

The Do-Over by Bethany Turner
Bethany Turner is one of my go-to, feel-good, time-to relax authors. That has not changed and here’s why: MY REVIEW I have read all of Bethany Turner’s Rom Coms and without a doubt, I think this one is her best. The character development was extremely satisfying and the story so vivid, it was like watching a movie unfold in my head, but better because I could read McKenna’s mind (well, read her point of view, the same thing). As always, I cleared my schedule and read this book from cover to cover. What a delight. Honestly, Bethany Turner just keeps getting better and better and she has really leaned…

The Lines Between Us by Amy Lynn Green
Are you reading this book yet? If not, why not? Here’s my review: MY REVIEW I should have known that I’d need to make sure my schedule was clear for The Lines Between Us because once I got started, I could not put this book down. I should have known this because it happened to me with Amy Lynn Green’s Debut, Things We Didn’t Say. I love how Amy Lynn Green weaves letters, notes, and narratives to tell a vivid story, full of spunk and one that also inspires much thought. Bringing this era to life in a realistic way, Green transports us back to WWII and brings history to…

Help, I’m Drowning by Sally Clarkson
NON-FICTION REVIEW This book could not have come at a more perfect time for me. This book was relatable and just what I needed to refocus off of the storms around us in today’s crazy world, back on to the Man on the boat who calms the storms. Clarkson shares relatable stories and words of wisdom for those of us finding ourselves slightly adrift wondering how to cope in a world seemingly full of turmoil. I was encouraged to know that I am not alone, that we are in this together and that there is a way to navigate life’s storms with grace and hope. Most of all, I appreciated…

To Find Her Place by Susan Anne Mason
I’m a huge fan of Susan Anne Mason’s work, both her historical and comtemporary fiction. MY REVIEW Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down, in the best way. Susan Anne Mason weaves a tale that keeps you wondering what is going to happen and if Garret and Jane will ever get things figured out. There were some twists that I totally did not see coming and I love it when that happens in a book. Thoroughly entertaining, I learned a few things about history and fell in love with these characters. I’d call that a big win. Book has been provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group and…
