Visiting Bookworm Mama

This week I am so excited to be visiting Rachel over on her Bookworm Mama blog. She was kind enough to review “As the Ink Flows, Devotions to Inspire Christian Writers & Speakers” and we had so much fun! Before you hop over there, I wanted to tell you more about her. She is a book reviewer and for the first time on her blog, she included an author interview! Wait until you hear what she thought of our book, As the Ink Flows.

Rachel’s Story:

I am a stay at home mom who LOVES to read. I enjoy good (clean) books of all kinds. However, I have a soft spot for historical fiction. I do not claim to be a writer. I simply wish to share the books that I read with others. Because, finding a good book to read is not always easy. My husband and 2 beautiful children are my life and joy. Among the 500 things I do a day, I somehow still find time to read.

I got into blogging during a very rough season for our family. Our second son was diagnosed with SCID, commonly known as “bubble boy disease”, at birth. Thankfully, our 2 year old son, his brother, was a 100% match for a bone marrow transplant. At 9 weeks old he underwent the transplant and now almost two years later he is well on the way to recovery. The long-term prognosis is that he will live a completely restriction free, healthy and normal life. And we are almost there! Just a few meds left to taper off and we are home free. He even had his first real cold recently and defeated it like a champ, albeit with the help from a few extra meds. We are nearing the end of living an isolated life (due to germs) and being “Stay at Home Mom” keeps me busy, but I needed an outlet, a hobby. So I turned to books. I have always loved reading and when I learned that I could support my addiction and the authors I follow and admire, I jumped all in! There is something magical that can only be found between the covers a book. And my desire is to share that piece of magic with you, my fellow bookworms. More about Ezra
