Courtney Walsh is a novelist, artist, theater director, and playwright and she has just released her latest novel, Just Look Up. This is the first book I have read by Courtney Walsh, but I had already heard such great things about her books. Boy! Totally loved Just Look Up and days after I finished it I was still thinking about the themes and lessons reflected in this gem.
Jody Hedlund does not shy away from topics such as injustice, poverty, separation and sadness. She also has a way of weaving hope into all of this! With You Always is set in New York City in 1857, one of the many struggling immigrants, Elise Neumann has lost her home, her mother, and when her world collides with the privileged and rich Thornton Quincy, things get…complicated.
Cupid gets a lot of attention today! It’s Valentine’s Day. In a conversation online recently I was shocked to read that some people, (who will remain nameless) prefer less romance in their reading. What? This I just could not understand. I mean, what?
Then I got to thinking, okay so there are different personalities and not everyone is romantic and swoons, but for this gal, I need romance. Not just for the sake of romance, but I am fascinated by the interaction of two people who have a connection and are exploring said connection. So today, since it is Valentine’s day, I thought I would share some of my favorite reads with romance in them for you and I hope that you will find a good Valentine’s read,
One of them if free! Enjoy!
