Fear Fighting by Kelly Balarie

Fighting Fear, by Kelly Balarie’s cover appealed to me. Simple and clean.

At first I wondered how much of the book I would relate to, since I am not a particularly fearful, anxious person, but as I read the chapters, author Kelly Balarie pointed out areas where I could identify fear, in areas that I did not even know were there.

This book deals with the lies we believe about ourselves and about life in general. The chapter that I laughed at, only because I could relate to it so well, was the chapter on letting go of control! We control, because of fear! Wow! Wake up call there.

Even more than identifying places in life where we let fear have way too much of us, was the highlight on what GOD’s truth says about us, about who we are in Christ. Sometimes, even if you have been a believer your whole life, you need a good reminder, and a reminder that you can relate to in practical terms.

Along the way the author shares her personal story which enhances the book, makes the reader relate to it on a personal level.
