I was instantly intrigued by this book when I saw the cover with those camels and Egyptian pyramids! I was delighted to find Lynn Austin’s book, Where We Belong, an adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the two sisters, Rebecca and Flora.
It is the start of a brand new year and one thing I have learned is that I was kidding myself. Kidding myself in thinking that I was superwoman. *Sadly I have no cape. You know, I was thinking I could do it all. *cue the epic music.
After seven years of going at breakneck speed, in blogging, reviewing, freelance writing, publishing and you name it, I have decided that I really was being unrealistic. My concept of my limits was way out of wack and 2018 is the year I am going to change that! I mean, after all, my family (bless them) were getting a frazzled mom/wife and I decided, ENOUGH! I honestly just had to clean up my inbox and reduce it from 3000 unread emails/notifications, down to just under 200 now. I am not kidding. Getting it under 200 is not perfect, but manageable.
This change is happening on all fronts, find out what is up and what is going down in 2018 for me.
It is finally here! Christmas with Hot Apple Cider is here, and I am so excited to share it with you because I have a tiny piece in it and I am so proud to be part of such an amazing group of Canadian writers. This book is a collection of stories from the season of giving and receiving.
I thought I would give you a little clue as to what my story is about.
HAPPY BOOK RELEASE DAY to Bethany Turner. I could not wait to read this book, and you know, it lived up to the anticipation and MORE! It was all fun and games until this book arrived in my mailbox. You see, I have been anxiously awaiting it’s beautiful cover to pop out of a bubble envelope that had emerged from my mailbox, I checked the box every day, nothing….. and then one day there it was. I had a lot of other work to do so I thought, “I’ll just read a couple of chapters and then get back to work.”
Find out what I thought.
I’m back from Cincinatti where I attended #CFRR2017 along with 140 other people, readers, bloggers and authors. All with one thing in common, well, two things really…..and one of the highlights was the panel I moderated. (Book Boyfriends)
To get a sneak peek into what happened, read on. I’m doing a short recap.
Well, this is a first. I have never reviewed a TV station before, but here I am. I had first heard about HopeTV (…the Nation’s Faith Station) on my local Christian Radio station (Life100.3) so when I got the chance to review it, I jumped at the opportunity. Putting faces to the voices I hear on my radio was kinda fun. (Oh so THAT is what Charles Stanely looks like.)
If you are looking to supplement the crazy summer schedule a selection of programs to feed your spirit, look no further. Here’s what I thought about HOPETV

Smart Love – How Improving Your Emotional Intelligence will Transform Your Marriage is a brand new book out now. Smart Love is written by the doctors, who are married.
